1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to MoneyBook. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and MoneyBook ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the MoneyBook mobile application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the App.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use MoneyBook. Users under 18 should obtain parental or guardian consent before using the App.

2. Description of Service

MoneyBook is a personal finance management application that allows users to:

• Track income and expenses
• Categorize financial transactions
• View financial summaries and statistics
• Sync data across multiple devices via cloud storage
• Customize currency preferences

Important Disclaimer: MoneyBook is a personal finance tracking tool only. It does not provide professional financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, or banking services. You are solely responsible for making your own financial decisions.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

To use MoneyBook, you must create an account by:

• Signing in with your Google Account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach

MoneyBook is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

3.3 Account Termination and Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through:

• In-App: Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Email Request: Contact 1moneybookapp@gmail.com

Upon account deletion:

• All your financial data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• You will lose access to all data and features
• Any active subscriptions will be cancelled (no refunds for current billing period)
• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Features

MoneyBook currently offers core features for free. Future updates may introduce premium subscription features.

4.2 Premium Subscriptions (When Available)

If we introduce premium features, the following terms will apply:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Google Play Store
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice
• No Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except as required by law

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Free Trials (If Offered)

Free trials, if offered, may be subject to additional terms. You may cancel during the trial period to avoid charges.

5. User Content and Data

5.1 Your Data

You retain all ownership rights to the financial data and information you enter into MoneyBook ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

5.2 Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of all data you enter
• Verifying calculations and financial summaries
• Making financial decisions based on your data

MoneyBook does not verify, audit, or validate the accuracy of your financial data.

5.3 Backup Responsibility

While we use cloud storage to sync your data, you are encouraged to maintain your own backups of important financial records. We are not responsible for any loss of data.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove, modify, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the App to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the App
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest personal information of other users
• Use the App for commercial purposes without our written consent

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 Our Rights

MoneyBook and all associated content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons) are owned by MoneyBook and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the App
• Use the App's branding or trademarks without written permission

8. Third-Party Services

MoneyBook uses third-party services to provide functionality:

• Firebase (Google LLC): For authentication, data storage, and hosting
• Google Sign-In: For user authentication
• Google Play Billing (future): For payment processing

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party service providers.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 "As Is" Service

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Guarantees that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content

9.2 Financial Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: MoneyBook is a tool for tracking personal finances. It does not:

• Provide professional financial, tax, or investment advice
• Replace professional financial planning or accounting services
• Guarantee financial outcomes or results
• Verify the accuracy of your financial data

You should consult with qualified professionals for financial, tax, and legal advice.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MONEYBOOK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Financial losses resulting from reliance on App data or features
• Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account
• Service interruptions, bugs, or technical issues

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (IF ANY).

9.4 Jurisdictional Limitations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, the above limitations may not apply to you, and liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MoneyBook, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your User Content
• Any financial decisions made based on App data

11. Availability and Changes to Service

11.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous access to MoneyBook, but we do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may:

• Suspend or discontinue the App at any time
• Perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts service
• Modify or update features without notice

11.2 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting a notice in the App
• Sending an email to your registered address
• Updating the "Last Updated" date

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App:

1. Informal Resolution: Contact us at 1moneybookapp@gmail.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally
2. Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation
3. Arbitration/Litigation: Unresolved disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or litigation as permitted by law

12.3 Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by law, all disputes must be brought on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MoneyBook regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
